The UAE Ministry of Energy began liberalizing fuel prices in August 2015, and they have been publicly announced monthly since then.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced this Monday the new fuel prices that will take effect on April 1, with a decrease compared to March rates. This adjustment follows a slight price drop in March, following an increase in February.
According to the announcement by the UAE Ministry of Energy, Super 98 gasoline will cost 2.57 dirhams per liter, a significant drop from 2.73 dirhams in March. Special 95 gasoline will be priced at 2.46 dirhams per liter, compared to 2.61 dirhams this month. E-Plus 91 gasoline will also see a reduction, with its new price being 2.38 dirhams per liter, compared to the current 2.54 dirhams.
Diesel will cost 2.63 dirhams per liter in April, down from the current 2.77 dirhams. Price liberalization, implemented since August 2015, allows consumers to see updated rates monthly, reflecting fluctuations in the international market.
